Double Rifles

Dependable performance, along with superb handling and accurate regulation of the barrels have always been the recognized characteristics of a high quality double rifle.

Our double rifles are made one at a time, to the individual customer’s requirements. We machine each action and its components from bars of high quality steel. Each piece is hand fitted. This allows us to fit each individual component perfectly, which in turn, ensures smooth operation and dependable performance.

Through-out the entire manufacturing process, the weight distribution of the barrel assembly and the stock is carefully monitored and adjusted where necessary to achieve the final balance required.

We use quality barrels, joined together and mated to the action using the mono-bloc system, with each barrel screwed into the mono-bloc, or the brazed shoe lump system. Regulation is usually done at 100 yards from a standing rest.

Each stock is hand fitted to the action and fore-end, and many coats of oil finish are applied by hand to fill the grain and bring out the natural beauty of the timber. The fore-end and the grip are checkered at 24 lines-per-inch in a standard border-less point pattern.

Aesthetics are important too. Not only are our rifles required to perform faultlessly, their lines must be correct and pleasing to the eye as well. With our precise workmanship and our care and attention to detail, these rifles meet the standards of an accurate, well balanced high quality double rifle.

The calibers listed are our standard calibers. We are more than happy to make your double rifle in another caliber providing we deem the caliber chosen is appropriate for a double rifle and sufficient ammunition is available for regulation purposes etc.

Box-lock
Non-ejector
